The Easter Sequence is a must-have for Catholic Easter liturgies. It follows the second reading and itself is followed by the Gospel Acclamation and Gospel reading. I have adapted the words of Victimae paschali laudes to fit the tune of Dan Schutte's marvelous "Glory in the Cross." This makes the sequence easy to sing for the entire congregation. Enjoy!
1) Christians, sing together giving thanks to God,
To the Paschal victim, our heart.
Christ, the Lamb, who leads us, laying down his life,
For the sheep wand’ring and apart
Thus reclaiming the strays, aligning our ways
To follow the will of our God,
Let us ever glory in the cross of Christ and the triumph of God’s great love!
